I picked up a set of APC superwhite 7004 back-up bulbs. I alot of the time have a hard time backing up at night with the windows tinted. SO i got a set of these bulbs. They actually look blue, but shine white. I can't wait for night to check them out.

If you haven't put them in yet, could you put one in, take a night/dusk pic to show the difference? I'd like to get some more cp back there also.

Yeah I was washing my car today and thought to myself. Self, I wonder what it would be like with brighter reverse lights, is it possible? lol so yeah I would like to see what you can come up with there. my windows are really dark to and backing up in the dark can be difficult.

Well i'm super proud to report that these things are bright. I mean like highbeam coming from your bumper bright. Great $6 mod!!!!!

So you can see past the tint now right? lol sounds good to me. Yeah once you get your cam, we wanna see some pics lol

That's what I need too! Where'd you get them? With my tint, I've sometimes had to pop the hatch to back up on a dark laneway! (Also, if I wire in a jumper switch, I can use them to fry the retinas of tailgating twits on high beam...)

I called my auto zone and they've never heard of these lamps. Any chance they go by some other name?

Not sure, the only part i added was the back-up part. They are APC Superwhite 7004 bulbs. Are Auto Zone, has a huge aisle of only "rice" stuff.

Sooo...is the part # 7004 or 7440? Our manual calls for #7440...please help shed some light on this (no pun intended!) -Christian

It is #7440 according to Sylvania and a couple other resources. And you're welcome Psycho. And don't worry about the dyslexia GT_03...it happens to me too.

I can not find these bulbs anywhere... The guy at the parts counter at Murrays said APC does not make a bulb 7440.I went to Two Auto Zones and a Murrays- Anyone have a pic of what the bulb looks like?

I just picked my set up last night for $4.99 USD + tax. I'll try to remember to snap a pic of it tonight in the box w/ APC's part number.
