I looked at a Vibe over the weekend but the major thing I noticed was the cladding on the back and passenger sides were weathering, by that I mean like white streaks and all sorts running through it. The car did still have warranty, Would it cover that?

I used to have a RAV4 with very similar plastic cladding. After about 4 years or so it weathered a whitish gray. This even though I mostly parked in the shade. I got a Vibe hoping the same thing wouldnt happen; but based on your posting it looks like it will. Bummer.

Kind of, It's more streak-ish like that. It's really only on one side.

The car is actually 45 miles away in a different town. I have been looking at it for awhile, I was just wondering if I bought it if I could get the cladding replaced under warranty? The car is listed for 13,9 but it's KBB value is around $10k.

Discolouring because of wax on the cladding does not qualify for a warranty replacement. However, you may be able to bargain the dealer into throwing in new cladding as a term of sale.
