cigarette burn

I went almost a year without smoking in my vibe. Recently I started cheating with the windows down. I flicked ashes out the window and snubbed it bare handed and then put the (removed) in the garbage upon arrival. However today I looked down, and to my dismay I saw that a hole had been burnt in my seat about 1/4" circle. Man I feel bad!!Has anyone had a repair or similar occurence. Anyone upgraded their seats to leather and have the original? In other words HELP!!!

Drag,Im sorry man. That really sucks, my current car has a cig burn in the seat from a Previos Owner, and it always kinda bums me out when i see it cuz no matter what i do its always there, short of seat covers im SOL. I guess this wont help at all, but perhaps it'll remind you of the sacrifices your willing to make to keep your baby nice?Good luck with finding a method of replacement... ~Jason

There are auto upholstery shops that specialize in repairing tears and burns. There is one in particular here in Ottawa that is excellent. I have seen some of their repairs and they are virtually invisible.

Won't smoke in it to afraid of the burn thing you have, plus the smoke coats the interior windshield and tar residue seems to find its way to the cieling. Learned that in my first car, but an apholstery shop should be able to fix it. Or just buy new front seats.....hey Raging when you coming to Calgary? Is it business or are you movin here?

Wish I could drive it, but can't take that much time off work (4 day drive in each direction, then add in a 5 day trip, that's 2 weeks off work ).
