Time to reveal the reason why I dont post much....I've been in living in my studio. If you've heard of Jay-Z or are a fan of Jay-Z, his latest and last album is called The Black Album". Since it's release many underground producers have "remixed" his previous work turning them into exclusive recordings (ie. The Brown Album, The Grey Album)So this is my child....Go easy on me ok... Believe it or not, this is my first original musical production and arrangementHope you enjoy it.Yank Dini w/ Jay-Z Enore (Digital) http://www.soundclick.com/band...c.htm

Yank Like you I love Hip-Hop. I feel that song- I like the beat you mixed to it- I think it sounds good- There are a TON of remixes of this album floating around- I think the song sounds really good. Nice work! Are you remixing the whole album?

But that idea seems easier to do. I wanted my music to sound more original since I really intended to show off my producing skills more so than to compete with all the other remix albums...I was inspired by Kevin Brown's The Brown Album.

I may get the ACID PRO but man isn't that expensive$$$$$$$ I take it a step futher though and transfer my mix (separated into 2 tracks) to my audio studio program for in-depth mixing and mastering. That rhythm or beat doesn't sound like it does on the ACID program.Good detective work

Two things:1. Are you planning on doing a remix of "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" I'd like to hear you do that song. I love that song...2. Are currently blocking your IM's? I sent you one and I didn't get anything back from you?

I tried to do Dirt Off Your Shoulder but it was a lil diffcult to match the tempo with beats that I have in my valut. Dont fret though, I still have that Acappella on my HD and Im constantly trying to make new beats so eventually I'll find something to go with it.I checked my user options and my IM status is on accept. I never changed it since day one. I dunno made I did something while updating my sig.

That's awesome. I'd make a CD once you put enough tracks on your site. The first one is good. Keep up the good work. So what do you use to do all this? just your computer and ACID?

I would like to thank everyone on here that has been able to take a listen. I didn't realize the song would do this well on my test market the last few days. It's doing very well on the Soundclick charts. It entered in at #68 out of over 1500 chart positions. Today it's number #12 SoundClick Alternative Hip Hop ChartsI guess I should shoot for the number one spot now eh?

How do you move up? is it based on listens? Acid 4.0???? That thing is like $400.....darn, I just wanted to be able to mess around like that.

If my song gets played for more than one min per day per user that is one chart point. If it's played in a Soundclick Flash Media Player it's worth 2 chart points.I only have the ACID 4.0 and I think that was only like $50-$60 something like that. I only bought it to try it because it was kinda similar to a video editing programs that I have also (similar platformI had a few other music programs at the time

I messed around with them for minute but I dropped everything once I got The Black Acapella in the mail.I'll see what I can do

I dont see why Damon Dash and Roc are upset? They put out a full version of the Black Album in Acappella format which in hip hop is very rare. Why you ask? Here is my theory.....1. hip hop consumers buy acappellas for one reason. (mixing and re-mixing) Mainly DJ's and producers2. One of the first Post-Mixed Hip Hop albums was a CD called Soulmatic from producer Soul Supreme which is a album remix of Stillmatic from the rapper NAS. The album is remarkable piece of work and set the bar for remix albums from another producers. Now on both albums Soul and Still there is a Jay-Z diss call Ether where Nas gets into Jay-z's a-- on the mic. Of course that was one of the song that was remixed not once but twice, Three times in all by two different producers. The album is a classic and the only way to create it was to go out a buy every 12' single acappella record you can find under this album sold separtely.3. So what does Roc-A-Fella do on their next album release?A full length Acappella version of the albumThen you cry foul?!?!?! What did you expect to happen? Us home producers have skills too ya know Mr Dash.

Dame Dash is trippin' because he never thought it would get out. Makes you wonder if anymore Roc albums would be release acapella.

This one "The Black Album Acappella" is the only album of this kind that I know of. It's only available on 33 LP Vinyl (yes vinyl is still well alive in hiphop) And only a certain number of copies were printed from Promotional Use Only, which means you have to special order it if you dont know anyone that has ripped it on their HD like I did.I bought the "record" (litteraly) for two reasons:1. Of course I wanted to remix some songs2. Based on The Grey Albums success my bet paid off. COLLECTOR'S ITEM
