TRDvibe (Hope) had this interesting idea that I think I'll go along with. Some of us would like to do something friday night before the meet and even saturday night before everyone heads back home. Now the town with the meet has very little to do so the idea is to get a hotel in a town that does. Then we'll just drive to the meet in the morning?Instead of driving 40 mins go a club or something and then back to the hotel, we just drive 40 mins to the meet and then back at the end of the day?

Call me a horses ___, but I kinda planned on getting a hotel in a different town anyway, even if there were a group-buy done...Just kinda have this thing about picking out my own lodging. I'm up for that too...I'm gonna try to get something in the vicinity of Utica...maybe Rochester Hills, that area. Supposedly nice, and from what I remember reading, a good are for night-life...

Well - the only thought I have is that it'll be the most convienient if we can get as many people as possible either in the same hotel, or ones very close to each other.That way, if the party's in the hotel, or if it migrates back there, then most everyone is already back and no driving needed.Let us all know some specific hotels to check out, and let's see if we can get a consensus to if we all want to stay in one......

thanks, rob. i know some of us have been discussing the logistics of the MI meet, especially for us coming from out of town. i for one would like to stay in a more busier area with more things to do. i really don't want to get a hotel out in bfe. i already LIVE in bfe! i don't want to go visit it when there's a city nearby i've never been to!

Well at the moment it would seem we have four people interested in staying at a larger town. Hope, Mike, Carrie, perhaps Sam and then there is myself. I would really like to be at a hotel with a lot more Vibe members but I'd also like to do alittle more then have a hotel party. And I know all about the little towns who have cow statues as a national monument with ricers parked out front of it on a friday night. I want a larger town heh.

I sit here smiling at what I see here. It seems that many of you want to be either in or near a large city to partake of the nightlife. Why is the meet being held in tiny Fenton with that cow statue?

So there is definatly 5 of us. ok Sam? I mean we could all meet up with everyone else at the hotel everyone books into, then we who are going to do something that night have our little Vibe convoy off to the nearest large town and check in there before hitting the town right? That way everyone in the Ont/MTL group won't need to get split up till we arrive.

I don't know if it has a cow statue... but my small town here does and its about the only thing goin on a friday night. I don't mind the meet in a small town, just I experience an american friday night.

If that's how everyone feels, you should just have the meet in Detroit anyways.

Having the meet in a quiet town is cool, more parking for us all heh. But we have no complaints of its location, just want something to do in the evening.

But some of us will stay at a place with more to do before/after the meet.

And for those of us thinking about where to stay - apparently the group block of hotel rooms isn't going to happen..... seems it's just about the same price as booking ahead anyway.So anyone from MI have some good suggestions for somewhere to stay?Or anyone know a good place?

well, i think it'd still be fun to all get the same hotel if possible. or nearby hotels... even if we can't get a block or rooms all together, it'd be a good time to atleast be in the same hotel... all us vibers running around!

there's stuff to do in Flint...theres alot of bars and stuff like that.Rochester is nice...that's where I grew up....situated close to things to do, there's the Palace near by....I'd stay somewhere in Troy because it's closer to the fun. Somerset Mall is there and there's alot of good restaurants/bars and it's just a short drive away from bar central, Royal Oak. btw. RO is cool, but it's busier then hell on the weekends. just my $.02

Same hotel for the party group sounds good though I would like to meet other vibers after the meet to. Troy sounds good.

So shall we say Troy is the place to find a hotel?I also would like to get as many of us as possible together.....dsegundo - can you reccomend some good places?

ok, so troy is a good place to stay in? i'll have to look on a map.

Any good bar and grills there? I bet we'll all be a little hungry.

Silver, be careful buddy...may not be my area code but it's my old stomping grounds. I grew up in Rochester Hills so you'd think I know where the stuffs at. Plus I still go to Oakland for college.....so back off of me. If you want to do the leg work, fine by me. btw. Why Utica? just because of CJ's?

touchy touchy! hey, us out of towners are open to suggestions from all. so don't get all bent out of shape, here. i don't think silver was trying to question your opinion or expertise, just trying to point out that he does live close by those areas so can prob give some input. don't get your panty hose all in a bunch! besides, good to find out info from all you guys that are in that area.

So any ideas yet there for us out of towners?

I've been nominated to make reservations for Carrie (VibeChick), Hope (TRDvibe), Mavrik, and myself. I'll be doing that while I'm in Calgary. As soon as we pick a hotel, I'll let y'all know where we decide to stay in case you wanna join us!
