Okay...Discount tire will give me these rims w/ 205-40-17 tires. If i want to up it to a 225-45-17 then it jumps the price up $100! Do you think this package w/ the 205's would do me okay? Or Konig Kaliber 17inch & 7in wide: They also offered me the Konig Verdict for the same $ (17x8in): -Phil

You guys in the US have no idea how inexpensive you can get wheels and tires for. Your package would be over 1000.00$CAN here That is why I am ordering it from the US and having it shipped to my brothers house in Michigan Go for the machine lipped, it looks to wicked bro

$499 is an incrdible price! Does that include lugs and install? Nice thing about Discount Tire is the warranty comes with all of their tires.IMHO...You really should go with the 225's. They are much closer to the stock circumferene (the 205s will be about 6% off). They will look alot better and handle better. Plus, they will protect the rim better. The rim lip will stick out a tad with the 205s. Can they mount the 205s on the wheels and put them on your car, then let you decide if you want to upgrade? That would definitely help you make the best decision. I like the first choice...I'm not a big fan of the Verdict wheels.Go for it!!!

I wouldn't go with the 205's personally. They are too small and your speedo will read 65 mph, but you'll actually be going 61 mph. Plus your odometer will rack up miles faster. For every 1000 actual miles you drive your odo will show 1040. Doesn't sound like a lot but it adds up. Just my advice.ND

I think those wheels look really nice on your car. With those small tires on it, you really need to lower it now...IMHO Those wheel wells just swallow them up.Looks great I would definitely keep them!

The rims look great phil, and the short sidewalls give a purposeful effect, but the fender gap has gone from large to huge. I think you need a 3" drop now to bring it back into proportion!PS: Keep a sharp lookout for potholes; you don't have much sidewall to cushion the impact.(Oops! missed Frosty's post! Anyway, guess we agree...)

When i unwrapped the first one i just about crapped my pants....they are like jewelry for cars! Quote, originally posted by ragingfish »small, yes, but that's a killer wheel! They are almost the same size as the stock ones...when stood next to each other they are just fractions of an inch difference....its just an optical illusion of having a rim w/ a lip instead of long spokes that reach right to the tire and then having a low-pro tire also makes them look tiny...at least to me!

Well, the wheels look great. The problem is those little tires. I don't know how Discount Tire works with their online store, but maybe you can go to the retail store and trade up on tire size. You can upsize to either 225/45 or 215/50, and that will give you a tire that has a 1.5" larger diameter. If you can't trade the tires, then sell them on Ebay and you could probably get about $200 for them. You can get Toyo Proxes FZ4 225/45at Edge Racing for $82/tire (just as an example).Good luck! The wheels really do look good PS - I don't think that making your car look better is a bad reason to lower it. I would say that was at least half the reason I lowered mine.

You have to let us know how those Nankangs ride. How is the noise/comfort level? Do they handle well?I like that last pic...It really makes those wheels look good.

I have done maybe 6 or so miles on the tires so its hard to say just yet obviously but they seem great. they ride smooth too and feel nice and taught in corners....im very impressed so far!
