Questions on Variable Valve Timing

Just curious, but does anyone know of a good link that has info on the base and GT's variable valve timing? How does the valve timing change? At a certain rpm?, or is it a linear change from idle to redline? Does it vary both the intake and exhaust, or just one? Thanks,Carl
