Smoke odors...

I don't smoke. Never have, never will. But last night, my friend needed someone to vent to. We were sitting in my car, just talking. She was pretty upset, and asked if she could smoke. I said ok, but as long as she kept it outside the window. Well, she didn't. She exhaled out the window, and ashed out the window, but held it inside the car. Again, she was upset, I decided to just shut up and deal.Issue is, now my interior reeks of smoke!!!! Is there ANY way to remove this odor, or do I have to go kick her a$$ now that she feels better? Thanks guys...

A good thorough cleaning of the car should take care of it. I wouldn't recommend Ozone unless it's something bad, like deer guts...Desi

ragingfish: you've heard of smokin' the other drivers?: open all the windows and drive 105 miles an hour on the freeway. All smoke will be removed. You should be able to get up to that speed on 295! Just watch out for the coppers at the Swedesboro interchange.......yeehaa

Mike,I am probably one of the few Vibe owners here that smokes in their car (*gasp*) I have a air freshner in the car that kills the odor. I flick outside and never use the ashtray (use it for change ) I shampoo my interior once a month so that the smell doesn't linger. Trust me if she only smoked once the smell will go away real quick! BTW I am trying to quit but it ain't easy

Woohoo! :D You could try smacking your hand with a hammer everytime you try to light up :D Or you could just refuse to go out and buy cigarettes, if they aren't around, how can ya smoke them? :DRaging: Good luck getting smell out, I actually get asthma like symptons sometimes from smoke, even if I am outside waiting in traffic, and someone is smoking near me ...

It will dissipate in a couple days with some fresh air.Now that your vibe is broken in you won't care if I light one up it in your vibe during the Mi. meet.

I can confirm, Arc's Vibe does not smell smoke at all (and trust me, I have a good nose for this, I have smoke odor).Try Febreeze and wait few days, it will disapear.

If you have a walgreens pharmacy (or head shop) pick up some OZIUM spray. it works great.

Ozium is based on ozone while febreze is more of a scent cover-upper

Dont worry I smoke in my car everyday, (with the windows down of course) The smell will go away, just leave the windows open over night and use the resirculate option on your climate control, if your severely worried aboot it eh, purchase some auto febreeze, the stuff is great. smoke smell is nothing, however if a cat ever sprays in your car, remove the seat and throw it away, cause that smell will NEVER go away.

i like the way my car smells...its alive with pleasure!! but to help you out raging put the ac on recirc and spray a tiny bit of febreeze in the vents.close the windows and let it run for a while then move it to fresh air for a while.then you should be good.

I read that you soak a cotton ball in pure vanilla extract (not imitation). By the time the vanilla completely evaporates from the cotton ball, the odor should be gone from your car. This is nice if you are allergic to those "air fresheners".
