other dealer has 5 VIBES with same noise as well. All are automatics. So, before you purchase a automatic VIBE or MATRIX do this:1. roll down windows (makes easier to hear noise) 2. listen for clank- click when put into reverse, neutral or drive. 3. put car into either reverse or drive and then quickly tap gas pedal and listen for click or clank noise. Then walk away until GM and TOYOTA address this problem. I wish we did!GOOD LUCK

Yup. This seems to be a widely discussed topic:
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... d?id=445As I mentioned in previous posts, I also had this problem (or at least noticed it) and had it go away after a couple days. Hasn't yet reappeared and I have owned my Vibe for over 2 months now.quote:other dealer has 5 VIBES with same noise as well. Were these all brand new (minimal miles) Vibes you test drove and heard this noise??

to haunt all of us who own or plan to buy the VIBE or MATRIX . That's what concerns me the most and rather have issue found and resolved now for all our benefit . Take care
