I have read many posts about the SC and I thought I knew everything (or close to it) but then I get a call from my local dealer (I had called about 2 weeks ago) and they were returning my call. They tell me that the supercharger is $3,000 part # 12498927 and that it comes with a 1 year warranty or 12,000 if they install. Now I thought if they installed it was 3 years 36,000 if I did it it was 1 year. The guy on the phone told me that its only 3 year if I had driven off the dealer with it installed. He said since it wasnt installed if I buy it now and they install it is still 1 year...... Did I read the posts wrong? Am I losing it? This whole SC thing is getting to be irritating!! Sometimes I wonder why didnt I go with a Matrix..

However, the way that it is worded, if the dealer installs it after the fact, the SC is only covered until either the standard 3/36 warranty runs out, or one year, or 12K miles, whichever is first. So, if you have the dealer install it when you have 35K miles on it, the SC is only under warranty until the 3/36 warranty runs out 1000 miles later.. It was a press release, not a legal document, but it can be interpreted to agree with the info that the dealer gave you. Maybe it's under warranty for the standard 3/36 no matter what, and also for a minimum of the 12months/12K miles, where the "whichever comes first" applies only to 12 months or 12K miles, but not to the 3/36 warranty. Wonder what kind of warranty do you get if you install it yourself?
