Think the rear bumper off a Matrix would fit the Vibe?

The thing I don't like the most about my Vibe is that is has a big 'ol bumper. I think it look's too SUV'ish and was wondering if the sportier looking bumper of the Matrix would fit? I think it would look a little bit sportier like the Vibe GT-R. Anybody else feel the same way?

The sheetmetal at the rear is different. If you look at the lines for where the bumper ends and where the shetmetal starts on the side of the car you can see this. It wouldn't work.

Right. Also, the Vibe has caldding up over the wheel arches that the Matrix does not. The Matrix bumper won't line up with those either.Another problem is that there is no place to put the backup lights. The Vibe lights are in the bumper while the Matrix has the backup lights in the tail light assemblies. Since the Vibe and Matrix tail lights assemblies are different, you can't just install the Matrix taillights.Personally, I think the Matrix rear bumper is ugly. One of the reasons the Vibe looks better in my opinion. If you don't like the way the Vibe looks why did you buy it? Here's an idea, sell your Vibe and buy a Matrix.

The Matrix has a Bubble (removed), and seams less sporty than the Vibe. Angles, edges, and smooth curves make a better street car.

Seems to me that back about the time that the Vibe/Matrix combo first came out, I read somewhere that the only sheet metal they had in common was the roof panel (!) Anyone else remember hearing that? If true, I'd be very cautious about trying to use any outer body parts designed for a Matrix on a Vibe, including any aftermarket spoilers, ground effects, etc. VibeOn!

http://nicksimkins.com/matrix/matrix_de ... Definately looks like the bumper sticks out too far and 'upwards' on the back. I have read many posts on other forums that while many people are partial to the Matrix, they dislike the rear-end... while many people that are partial to the Vibe dislike the front-end. Can't have everything.. plus whatever you own, it grows on you after time, so no worries.
