Militec-1 is a metal conditioner that toughens, smoothens, and protects any metal surface. Engine, transmission, even your gun at home. It is not a oil additive, but soaks into any metal surface and increases its hardness, and durability.Never Heard of it? It's been used for years by the US military and needs no infomecial to jazz it up.Check it out for yourself at
http://www.militec-1.comOh, did I mention that all those new air marshals out there are required to use it on their guns.

No i am not. I was introduced to it when I got into muscles cars years ago and my dad (a Marine mechanic) brought it home for his own use.Scince then, I've used it in all my vehicles. A few were a 1988 4.3 Chevy s-10 to get 280,00 orig. miles out of the engine and trans, and my 92 Saturn that got 310,000. Iv'e used Zmax as well, and its cleaning properties are nice, but Militec can be used on anything and everything metal on the car, and u can get it IN BULK. I just bought the Vibe, and once its broken in, Its gettin the militec.

Wow that's some impressive mileage. Can you post pics of the 2 vehicles showing the mileage on the dash?I checked out the site and one of the first paragraphs said this.quote:MILITEC-1 is a clear golden synthetic liquid resembling an SAE 10-weight oil. It's a synthetic. So what this means is if you use a conventional oil you'll be adding synthetic to it and you'll have a simi sythetic oil in your engine in away. Yes I could see why this would improve all it claims to, but it seems it would make more since to just run a synthetic oil instead of adding a aditive to the oil your all ready using. If a person was all ready using a fully synthetic oil this additive would be pointless to use.As for using it to oil a weapon I'm going to check into it. It seem promising.

It seem promising.Synthetic, meaning it's made by chemical synthesis. Not a synthetic oil.If you read down a bit further, it also states that it's not an oil additive. It simply uses the oil as a means of transportation. Slick50(among others) claimed that their product, which contains PTFE, did similar things. Like how it would remain on all metal surfaces when the engine is off because it "sticks" and "bonds" to all the metal. Therefor decreasing engine wear by a huge margin at start up. Now they are being sue for false claims. If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.

Like I said b4....militec is a metal CONDITIONER! Not oil additive! It soaks into the metal and does not take the place of oil. My old vehicles are dead and gone, hence the millage I listed as final. If u read the site, it says Militec LOOKS like 30 weight oil. No fancy additives or coloring is added. Fact is, if you arent smart enough to check the site out, you wont see the referals from racing companys, and state transportations THAT U CAN CALL if you dout the abilitys of the stuff. But enough, if yer just gonna flame me fer trying to share a sweet product, dont use it. I prefer my competition to have a disadvantage.

If you read my post you will see that I did, in fact, state that it's not an oil additive.Supported by racing companies? Well, ProLong was supported by Al Unser Jr. as well as Richard Petty.......A.J. Foyt supported one too. But guess what the FTC is doing to them right now...... Which is why I don't put anything in my engine except oil. But if you feel it works for you, then by all means.....I live by two old adages when it comes to cars:"If it ain't broke, don't fix it""If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is"

Ah yes, somtimes sticking to what you know works is best. But I've had this stuff fer years so I guess its habit. And as for weapon applications, u clean out all the grease, coat all those surfaces with the militec, and cycle the gun through a few clips. You'll notice tighter groups. I can totally understand the only oil attitude though, so thats cool. There is a lot of brew-ha-ha out there.

I'm gonna try this on my CCW Glock G30. I haven't ever heard of a oil helping with tighter groups but hell I'll try it.
