I just wanted to vent a little, so here it goes. Last night, my best friend died. He was 22 years old. He had a brain anerizim He had no heatlh probs ever. He got a headache early yesterday and did not feel went. He went to bed early, and never woke up. His mother found him this morning laying in a pool of blood that ran from his nose and mouth. I've had alot of close people die in my life, but never someone that was unexpected. Most of the time it was a relative that had a history of health problems and was in the hospital. This was a young man that was at my house 6 days ago hanging out watching TV and now he is gone. I was suppose to pick him up tomorrow morning to watch the Super Bowl. I never had a sibiling, and he was as close to a brother as i could have had. I'm sorry if this does not make any sense, i just needed to get this out.

Chad, I'm so sorry. I wish there were some magic words I could offer to help with the pain.

yes, chad, i'm very sorry to hear of your loss. although she wasn't my best friend, i also had a close friend die in a car accident: drunk driver. i was a senior in hs, and 2 days after christmas, i got a phone call in the morning from a relative who told me. i was so shocked and in disbelief! i just talked to her christmas day! she was 15 yrs old. on new years eve, i went to her funeral. it pretty much killed the holiday for me and my eighteenth bday on 1/2 following. it took about 2 years to really sink in she was gone.... i still miss her and that was 8 years ago.... so, i can't imagine your pain you are feeling.... my prayers go out to you and all those who loved him...

I have also had friends and family pass away suddenly, and slowly. I don't think it makes it easier knowing they are going to pass, but either way it is very hard to deal with. Sorry to hear about your loss, and my heart goes out to you and I wish you the best in your time of grief.

I haven't had the misfortune of anyone close to me dying yet...but I feel for your. I probably don't know what you are going through either but cheer up The way I see it, you will be seeing him again when it's your time...he just has a head start on the next life. He'll be waiting for you. Don't worry.

i will pray for your loss, know that your freind is hopefully with god and he will be waiting for you.

Once again thanks for the kind comments. I don't think he really hit me yet. I don't want to let myself believe it. I know when i goto the funeral home tomorrow and see him for the first time, i'm going lose it.

GT_03, Sorry for your loss. It is a tough thing to go through.

I know from experiece that there can be nothing harder than losing a close friend. I have been there ( lost too many friends to car crashes, and also work in the profession) There is no one that can replace your friend but there are a lot of people who will be there to try and help you through.Our thoughts are with you.
