hey guys,I've lived in michigan for 16 years now. The weather has been an issue for everything. Well, long question short, how do people wash their cars in the winter? I try to wash mine once a week. Especially since the salt gets on and under my car. I also was wonderin, do all of you manual wash or auto wash your cars. I auto washed my car last year with my old car during the winter and the brushes scratched up both sides of my car. It was horrible. Now that I have the Vibe, I don't do anything but manual wash. I don't trust auto washes anymore.Inder SinghP.S. I tried to call the cops on the place where I got my old car washed, they said that they weren't responsible because it was my chioce to go through the auto wash. Hey sorry bout the topic title also. I didn't realize it till after cuz I thought there was something wrong witht the forums, but it was my settings. Sorry for the inconvience.

I used to wash every weekend but that's when I used to work at a detail shop....now, it's whenever I can get it into a garage for the night..Damn, I hate apartments.

Well I've had my Vibe for a month now and finally got it washed on it's one month birthday. We had awful weather for a while but then the sun broke through this past week...so I was finally able to run to a car wash...the first time they didn't do a great job so I went back and now it's all spiffy and clean. I wanted to wash it by hand myself but it's still to cold out to do such a thing. So for now it was a Super Kiss touchless car wash until the spring.

I tend to go for every couple weeks in the winter.I either do it by hand in this heated garage with a hose in it my dad has, or I take it to a BRUSHLESS car-wash. Nothing but water jets for my baby

You don't have one of these touchless car wash systems in your area? In winter, they are very helpful but a bit expensive... However, they don't scratch cars. We find them often in Esso and Ultramar in Québec.More info on this company there:
