Someone was selling 4 OEM alloys with Goodyear RS-A's for $300.00 at the end of December. I can't remember his Genvibe name but I can email him if you like.

I'm inclined to stay with the steelies - less likely to have problems with balancing.BUT - I haven't owned a set of alloys for the Vibe. Has anyone here had issues with balancing of the alloy wheels?

It's hard to put a dollar amount on the value of the appearance of the car. If the alloys cost you $400, will it look $400 worth of better? I went with the steelies because I bought from dealer stock instead of ordering one. If I was going to order one, I'd go for the alloys. Now that I have it, it hasn't been worth it to me to drain the wallet that much for an appearance mod.welcome to genvibe

if you are going to upgrade the rims anyway and dont mind you winter wheels looking crappy ( assuming you live somewhere that gets cold enough) go with the steels. If you want your car to look a little nicer but arent gonna drop cash on antermarket rims go witht the alloys. And i have never heard of any issues with balencing
