Go snoop around over at newcelica.org. There's quite a few guys running juice on their cars. You'll get way more info than on here, being there's only one brave soul that's got it on the Vibe.

call me silly but, to me it seems that *NO* is *NO*, no matter what brand it is

The companies do differ on quality/performance . For instance, one very popular company has terrible TPS activation switches.

so, the variable is the container that the NO is in?

For the small shots you'd run on a Vibe, the standard bottles aren't a problem. The TPS switch I mentioned is to activate the solenoids at WOT. If it's faulty, you'll have N2O flow prior to WOT which can cause damage.

Faultline.no disrespect but I got over the,I just beat a such and such car alongtime ago..Im more into hard numbers, not blabbing about how I just beat a 03 350z with some moron drivin it....Now I do brag when I race the 350z for some $$$$ and I wax hiz AZZZZZZ....LOL That I think we both can agree on.....LOL....I will just post weather/Track/Tune Up/ number so we all can benefit......I wish you would do the same,as I am very interested in how fast the stafford kit can make a auto GT.... The reson I don't like NOS doesn't have anything to do with the quality, only to do with just a grunge. When ever you hear someone that has no clue about cars or engines talk about nitrous they for some reason think NOS is the only brand of nitrous in teh world and that ticks me off...It's a stupid reason, but I can't help it

they think that nos is what it is called, thanks to the fast and the furious. hey, you're no mechanic, i recall you talking about hitting lift in your base....

Ok heres some hard numbers and beleive me when I say this.I do believe I can shave a hal;f second if not more with some mionor changes on the smallest tune up(50 shot)..I only got to make 3 passes last nite as it was opening nite at OSW.It was chilly 55 drgrees and damp 85% humidity...Lots O"Rice also so that doesnt help the track...First pass on the 50 shot it went 16.31 @ 87.78 with a 2.466 60' time..Tranny did all sorts of funky stuff, major wheelspin and hop thru first...Second run I was ready for the "funky stuff" and I drove around the tranny not wanting to shift. and she went a 15.80@88.74 with a 2.514 60ft time....All runs were made with a lower than optimal bottle pressure and all pluigs were pulled and checked..I had a 1/2 tank of gas and there was NO lightening done to the car and I weigh 245lbs....I believe I can go a 15.3 if not faster with the small kit....Mu third run I upped the jets to a 75 shot and I installed the jets backward so all it did was sputter....I know Im a moron...LOL!!! I was very happy with the response of the lil engine that could and I cant wait to creep up on the 125 shot...I do believe stickier tires and a progressive will get me my 13 secong timeslip.....Lata Rog

17.75@76mph stock with a 1/2 tank of gas and on a colder nite...

you took two full seconds off with a fifty shot!!! i must need a new clutch or something. i dd smoke it pretty bad on a couple of launches. are you runing stock plugs still.

One thing to remember is that 1BD4DR has an auto. An auto trans will take some of the shock out of the launch, and you can stay on the nitrous during shifts.

LAta,RogActually , I do the car comparisons for people that the #'s are meaningless to...and because alot of people swear that LACR is worst track for times...so I throw in the ..."I lost to the g35" for perspective..I have mentioned #s too though...92mph 15.01..2.5 60ft..2800ft elev ..57`outside..(vibe outside temp guage)....Ther is gunna be a celica dyno shoot out on feb 7th....3kits for both the 1zz and 2zz motors will be represented there..(newcelica.org)..I might go.....there will be a few Stafford cars dynoed that day...and dynoes will be posted...there will be some cars ont the bottle too with hard #'s....all on the same dyno..on the same day...so it's great for comparisons

That will be great to see, Faultline!(Any chance you can play the "well, it's a Toyota engine" card and show them what your Vibe can do?)

Ah ha, there you are!(I presume that note re a fuel rail should read "Prizes" rather than "Prices"?)

Quote, originally posted by MadBill »Ah ha, there you are!(I presume that note re a fuel rail should read "Prizes" rather than "Prices"?)yeah!., but it sounds funny...a bunch of guys in line waiting to get their cars dynoed with that extra fuel rail in hand , as price of admission! I have seen the fuel rail to be given though,....would like to have it...Itts billet aluminum and has "sf" etched in it...but besides looking great, the line to the rail feeds to the center instead of the end, to help ensure that pressure is more even to all injectors, and it has removeable end caps if you wanted to add a retrn fuel line and it has a threaded hole to add a FP guage if you want...and it flows more fuel!

Fusion,,Actually I had to lift between shifts so the tranny would shift...With the correct bottle pressure it hits real hard.Hard enough to cause severe tire spin and hop...Im gonna figure I few things out but I will be out testing agin this week,I believe I can get (removed) down to a 15.3 with just better driving and more bottle pressure.....I had the bottle heated to 900 then my jump box batt went dead.I would like to see 1000 to 1050 for optimimun performance,I was running stocj range plugs but not iridiums...When I step up to the 75 shot I will run one step colder plugs....Faultline good runs,I believe that with a 5 spped I could have been low 15s from the get go..... That sucks. It's going to reduce the effeciency of a progressive. Has anyone built a progressive yet to take shifts into account? When I looked last, any time you lifed you started back at the initial flow percentage.

Im looking into maybe hand held switch activation for the gas...But I need more seat time to work it out...I know that progressive go back to the initial setting when you lift.... Lata,Rog

i wonder what my vibe gt will run with a 35 shot. I smoke my clutch now as it is, and if i dont wind it a little then i spin the wheels. In this situation would i just hit the nitrous in second gear? Btw im getting a new clutch soon.

Dmitri why only a 35 shot??Id spray it atleast a 50 shot...I dont understand these people saying the 2zz engine cant handle it..Buwahahahah thats funny...Hell if I owned one it get a 100 shot.....Its all about the tune up and the tuner not toyota.....Right now Im thinking about going to a larger intank fuel pump or a second inline booster pump that comes on when the gas is activated. Then Im gonna oay the gas to my car....... Lata,Rog

Im interested in NOS but dont know about installing it. I know I read systems that dont need any mods to your engine thats what I wold go for not sure on price but I will think about it and get it before the SC since the SC is a good chunk of change.

The more I think about it the more I belive you need a pump with higher flowrates at whatever PSI the Vibe's stock pump runs at. With returnless fuel you don't have a large reserve of fuel at the rail, and what's there is what would be used by the engine NA.

the supercharger takes fuel where you would with a nos kit(t fitting) trd didnt feel the need to upgrade. most things like that are built with a fair amount of extra capacity.why risk running max capacity all the time not good for reliability and warranty

What TRD did with their supercharger is irrelevant to a nitrous oxide installation.
