Hotchkiss has one for the Vibe (red, I believe), and I'm sure there are several others. I think there have been a number of threads re sway bars (confusingly also know as anti-sway bars, anti-roll bars and even roll bars, not to be mistaken for the roll bars used to protect one's head in case of a rollover in a convertible...). One thing I haven't seen mentioned is the need to match a rear bar's diameter to either a stock or a larger front bar. That is, if the rear bar is designed for balanced handling with a matched oversize front bar, it will likely produce dangerous oversteer if used alone. I'd discuss this with any potential supplier.

I'd also mention that I believe the Progress bar is now dark grey instead of the light blue. From what I have heard from people who have ordered it recently, it's no longer blue. I'd contact the merchant to see if you can confirm what you buy is the dark grey model.

A can of spray paint does wonders, too!

Hotchkis is less than the TRD and produces great handling. I have had mine on the car for more than a yr. and are very pleased with the results

Like NSimkins said , the progress hasn't been blue for quite some time, dark gray and a great upgrade.

I just checked out the Hotchkiss web site and it looks like the sway bars come in a kit for front & rear (Item#22402). The rear installation look simple enough, has anyone attempted a front installation on their own, or was the intallation performed by a "professional" as they recommend?

I did the rear my self and it was easy as long as you have a breaker bar to loosen up the bolts. I payed a mechanic to do the front.

I just installed the Progess rear sway bar, and it was a cheap, easy, and great addition to the car.

Freedom Design makes a strut tower brace, not front sway bar. The only front sway bar I know of for the Vibe comes in Hotchkis' front & rear sway combo (the one CohoCarl installed). Progress makes the only other rear sway bar I am aware of.

I bought the progress' b/c it was dirt cheap ($88 w/ 5% discount and instant rebate, free shipping) and other members have given it good feedback. I'm not sure how Hotchkis' compares, but I wasn't ready to throw down $299 on their front/rear combo. Hopefully progress will come out with a front sway in the future to match.I know CohoCarl was VERY pleased with the Hotchkis kit.Hope this helps.

Yeah its a little pricey for some bent up metal. Wonder if its a big difference if not I will go with the Freedom Design from Ptunin.com.

like I said, Freedom Design's product is a strut tower brace, not a sway bar....two different things.I've yet to see any cold, hard proof that an STB improves cornering at all, so, IF I even buy one, it'll be a cheap eBay one for ~$30 just for looks..Now, if I can find one in blue powdercoat to match my AEM CAI, I'll buy it JUST for looks
