The Automatic Light Control is supposed to turn headlights to their nighttime setting when it is dark. In my Vibe, even on a bright, sunny day, the nighttime headlights come on and the dash lights dim when the sensor is not in direct sunlight. Is this normal? The instruments are very hard to see with the nighttime lighting (until you turn the brightness up - a nuisance when driving).Is there a way to disable ALC?
