Wish my Vibe's parking brake was where that one is. The gauges and well, the whole front dash seems less sporty than I would have imagined. Corvettes (Chevy's in general) have seemed to of been rather plain in that dept, from what I can remember.I still want one. hehe

Anyone know what changes are implied by the "LS2 " designation on the rocker cover?

Found this: "LS-2, 6.0 Liter 400hp, 400 lb.ft. "I don't know the details, but I think I read it's a LS6 that's been either bored or stroked (or both?)

I'm not sure of this, but it seems like it will be a new modular engine. Chevy seems to have completely abandoned the old tried and true 350 5.7L pushrod V8 engine. Everything seems to be going to overhead cams and all the newer technology. The 6.0L engine is also offered in new GM trucks, rated at 315HP I believe. We have 2 new GMC trucks at work with this new engine. I've driven one of them so far, and I was much less than impressed. It is very smooth, but is about as noisy as the older engines and doesn't seem to have the power of our GM 454's and Ford 460's. I realize that the new engine has a displacement disadvantage, but these are trucks for work duty that we're talking about and the pull and grunt force is what is expected from them. A comfy interior is nice and all, but if it can't pull a hill easily with a trailer attached, then it isn't very useful.I expect the new LS2 is a new modular 6.0L engine that is similar to the one that is in the trucks and has been tuned up for the Corvette.
