Question for anyone that has an Injen CAI. I bought the CAI about a month ago and installed it with no problem. Then about 2 weeks ago a friend of mine told me my drivers side fog light was out after I checked it out I found out that the CAI air filter had kicked off the connection to the fog light. I prugged it back in but it keeps pushing it off. The filter sits right over the connection. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there room/space to make it point or not stand on the fog light connection? I havent had time to take a look at it (work) so im not sure if there is or not but I need to get it fixed as soon as I get a chance. Any help, suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

all i can say to do is push that damn filter as high as you can get it! i am about due for maintenance on mine and i am not looking forward to it!

I had to push the filter on farther to not hit my fog lamp connector.it just misses it now. I've also was advised to crunch the filter on the end a little where it contacts the lamp since you can't see it, but it hasn't come to that yet.

I have one of the "new" models but I still had to push the filter up onto the tube so mine sits 1/2 above the plastic light assembly. No problems so far.

LOL!I ended up removing my intake because I can't sacrifice removing the filter, cleaning it, letting it dry, blah blah blah, and not being able to drive the car for even a day.I need my car available 24/7!

Another argument for short ram...hm.. I'm torn between CAI and the K&N Typhoon short rams.. I know CAI will get better performance..but i'm not sure I want to deal with crunching it into place..

I think that when it comes time to clean filter I will but another filter and install it and clean old one and rotate them. Who has time to wash, oil, and let dry when you can't drive your car?

I agree, I contemplated that, but thought $50 for a filter was too steep for me. As much as I miss the power of that intake, I'm debating if I'll even bother going back to it come spring. May just stay stock for the rest of time...

What about the weather? Is it a problem gettign watter in it when raining? I live in California so not a lot of rain but enought to have puddles of watter. Should I be worried? I guess another reason to think twice about an intake?

My Vibe went through that storm on Mon. with 56mph winds,buckets of rain etc with out any problem. The filter is protected from splashes. You would have to take the car swimming through water past your door sills 16-18" to suck in water. Very safe!
