Hi all..Will be painting my Calipers this Spring with the purchase of new 5 spoke wheels. I was going to go with a simple Yellow which should be a nice accent against my Abyss color. I noticed that G2 has Gold as a color choice. Does anyone know if this is a decent looking gold or does it look like some cheap spray gold? I think the Gold would work as a stronger accent than the Yellow but if it looks blah... Well, I'd rather not do that. Anyone have the Gold painted calipers? How do they look?Dave
Hi Silver...Yeah, I've seen hers which is one reason why I'm considering the Yellow. I know that will look nice, I'm more concerned about the Gold G2 paint. I just know some gold craft and spray paints look horrible, Was just wondering if this paint would make the calipers truly look gold (Or somewhat close to the brass type Calipers I've seen before). The G2 site didn't have photos of this color. No one seems to have the Gold of theirs, that I've found at least...Dave
Hi again...I'm thinking about blacking out the badges with the reflective overlays. When I was looking for a vehicle last Spring I saw a black Matrix that had a Gold option. Badges and what-not all gold. Looked very hot but I didn't want a Matrix. I don't think replating the badges are an option for me but blacking them out with the reflective overlays would make them a bit more neutral without too much of a worry. Hell, I'd consider using the G2 paint to gold them out if I thought it would look good. But I think blacking them out will be better for my style than adding another color to the body. If the black doesn't cover completely, I may go around the border with a gold pen. I dunno... For me, I think my only real option for the badges is the black. hmmm, maybe the Gold overlays? eh... I have till Spring to decideDave
Yea....my site is down for a few days as it gets renewed or something, I dunno it's my boyfriends deal.....David cheak my site in a couple days for yellow shots of the calipers. The G2 yellow is very yellow...bright yellow...be forewarned.

hi CaCathy...I think we conversed about the calipers a long time ago. Yeah, I like your Yellow lots and was my first color choice but I've been thinking about the Gold color and have wondered how it would come out. All the other colors seem very vib(e)rant so I can only assume the Gold would be too, right? I wanted to do the whole Wheel and Tire change and do the calipers this past Fall but money started getting tight. I think all will be fine this Spring so my goal is to tackle it then. Dave

That contrast of color against your Abyss would look amazing. Something like this? I have also added several new yellow overlays (wheel arrows, windshield banner). I think my next project will be yellow calipers.
