Looks like the Honda minivan after someone took a chainsaw to it.

I don't know about down in the States, but up here I almost never see a full-size Toyota truck. North America makes the best trucks so why the Japanese try to compete in this already tough market just does not make economic sense. Here the Toyota is more expensive than a domestic. Honda makes great motors and good cars but I think they should leave the heavy duty work trucks to us.

If you notice, each import brand that makes trucks only makes one or maybe 2. Toyota only makes Tacoma and Tundra. Nissan only makes Frontier, and very recently, Titan. Honda, Kia, Hyundai, and the other imports don't even bother (unless Honda decides to bring this concept into production). Also, I don't think demand for trucks is nearly what it used to be, at least in comparison to SUVs, so that's probably another reason they won't do it.All speculation of course.

I think Honda is pretty smart doing what they are doing. Unlike Toyota and Nissan, Honda is going for the "softer" market - the families. With the Pilot, Honda didn't try to make a tough off-road vehicle, they went for the "non-minivan family hauler". They are going for the same thing with this "truck". It is not meant to compete with the F-150 or GM's trucks. It is going for the people who "think" they need a truck, but really only need a car. Nissan and Toyota, however, are trying to go head-to-head with Ford, GM and Dodge....so far, Toyota hasn't had that much luck....only time will tell.Personally, I have no clue why people are so against mini-vans. I say that anybody who knocks a mini-van hasn't driven one (how's that for a blanket statement!). I love my minivan and am looking forward to the time when I go get another one.

i have to agree w/silver, there is a big market for trucks right now, its sort of the trend to have a suv/truckish type appearance. why else would there be a truck commercial on every time you flip the channel?

I agree, truck styling is very popular....but do most people need a truck? I live in a (what used to be) rural part of South Jersey (now there are McMansions popping up everywhere). I remember one time doing some work for the Parks & Rec commission and somebody told me to go get some supplies in my truck. I said, "I don't have a truck." They wouldn't believe me. They tried to convince me that I NEEDED a truck. So far, my ugly, bland, slow "soccer mom" minivan has done me just fine for 6 years - best money I ever spent on a "utility" vehicle.

that song takes me back to riding in the backseat of moms car...i believe that the crossover was born so that you could obtain the truck look without all of the abilities that you don't need. a truck is a great thing to have if you have ever bought furniture, moved, or even got a new lawn mower. trucks are definitely very handy to have, hell, you can make money by owning even an s-10 if someone needs something moved...
