When I took my Vibe yesterday, the windshield was completly forzen. So I started the winshield washer to clean it up and nothing been spit from the nozzle.... The pump was working. I thought it was the ose unplugged again, but not...I scratched the windshield and drove a little bit. After a while, I tried again the washer and then passager starts working. But the driver one still not working.I don't know if it is ice or something else who stuck the ose.Anyone has a trick for this??I don't not want to lose a lot a time and go to the dealer to ahve it fixed...

Ben do you have a garage where you can park your car for a few hours? The nozzle might be frozen , it happened to me with my Cavalier. I parked it inside in a heated garage and it worked....

Do you have summer or winter fluid in? I found that I had to keep diluting my summer fluid (the pink kind) with winter fluid (the blue kind) to prevent it becoming a slushy mess. You've been using the strainer when you fill, I hope.Your best bet is to find a mall with heated parking & a movie theatre. Go see a movie, and when you're done, it should be thawed out. Pump a lot of fluid through it, and fill up with winter fluid.

I always been using winter fluid washer....When I picked up my car, I notice a lot a condensation on the windshield, so it can be very possible that the ose got condensation in it as well. And as my Vibe was in my parking spot for a while, the winshield washer just get back to the tank...Unfortuantly, I do not have an heated garage, and none of my friend/relative has one in my area...May be by driving my car for a long time, the heat from the engine will melt the ice in the ose.By chance, the temperature should go above the freezing limit. So I'll remove all the snow on my baby (we got 12 inches last night) and park my car right under the sun.

My cousin told me that he used to have to plug his engine heater in, but he NEVER told me about heated parking. That sounds cool.As for the frozen sprayer, my Sunbird used to do this when I was living in Colorado. If I would use it, then leave the car outside and it would drop below freezing, the very tip would freeze. I solved this problem by pouring warm, not hot, water slowly over it. Where you live, this may not be practical, but just a thought.

Also can try a hair dryer or heat gun (just don't drop it in the snow!) Isn't a permanant fix, but will help you determine if it's just frozen, or a bigger problem. My money is on frozen.

Mine does the same thing on a heavy frost. I have always used winter washer fluid and even purge the nozzles after a wash by operating them.I guess the thin layer of frost which is ice is just enough to do it. RATHER ANNOYING!!James (Vibe)

That sounds cool. When I was in university, there was a mall in that city that had a heated underground parkade. When your car needed to thaw out, you'd go for a movie at the $2 theatre at the mall, and park your car in the parkade. When you got out, everything was nice & thawed out. I had a friend that had to go see a movie every time she wanted gas, because her gas lid was always frozen shut. That place was awesome, but maybe they are few & far between, because the only seem to be in that city.

I removed the 12 inches of snow on my car yesterday evening and I tested again the washer... Now 2 out of the 3 sprayer work on driver side....

Easiest way is to put your fingers over noozle to get them warm enough then activate washer. I do that when they are frozen at work or wallmart parking lot... away from home and all equipement already mentionned (hot water - hair dryer - garage). With our "yo-yo" temperature it's normal to have these frozen, BTW do you have winter blades on? There is special at Lebeau (known by Quebec guys) $39.99 for 2 winter blades + Aquapel treatment.

ArcsVibeAquapel is windshield treatment (such as Rain X and others likes stuff)Aquapel is way ahead the others http://www.ppg.com/gls_aquapel/main.htmSubVibeRI did the same last year (bought Teflon from CTire) and had them back when I saw "Lebeau special". Why don't you do the same... and get Aquapel in bonus
