The last I read it was the Delco Model 35 with 450 CCA that was suggested for us. Is this still the case? Thank you.

Thank you.Houston, you're correct -- I believe some dealers were using the 450 CCA model - however from what I have been told, GM has officially been looking at (and supposedly approved) using a 560 CCA model when the TSB comes out very shortly (also supposedly before Dec. 25).

Just got this in response to the email I sent to my dealer last night. He was very polite, but as you will see there is no mention about the battery being a problem - about the same as what some of the rest of you are told by your dealers. If that new TSB doesn't come out by the first of the year, I'm probably going to buy a more powerful battery anyway just for the peace of mind. This is what I got:I received your email concerning your Vibe and the battery concern. I searched through bulletins and was unable to find anything current, or preliminary bulletins at this time. I then had my Shop Foreman place a call in GM Technical Assistance. This is the area that bulletins are usually generated from, by techs calling in concerns. We gave them your information. Upon their searching, the only current issues out is possible headlamp switch causing a flutter/draw on the electrical system as the vehicle sits. What they have recommended is to have your vehicle brought in to us, and we need to get a build code off the back of the switch. We then will call into them and they will determine if it is an effected switch. According the info they told us, the part has been changed on current vehicles being built. The build code will let us know if it is needs to be replaced or not. Please contact me and we will set up a time for you to bring your vehicle in, or we would be glad to come to your home and pick it up. The inspection should take less than an hour to do. Thank you for letting us know of your concern, and hopefully we can assist in resolving it for you.

The TSB hasn't officially been released, hence the reason why he couldn't pull any data. I was told it would be before Dec 25 and will post when I find final official release information.

So I presume that this is what GM will be putting in it once they decide to issue the TSB.Salsa!, you did have an influence in testing and really pushing this battery, which shows that it works wonders! Keep an eye out for official correspondence soon. Also, as an FYI, the 2005 Vibes will have the 560CCA battery installed at the factory. Finally.
Would you believe...

My last post was 1 1/2 hours ago. The dealership employees just came and picked up my Vibe to take it back and check out that switch. You gotta admit that's pretty darn good.

This is the Pontiac delearship in Durand, Michigan. They've done me right for 16 years and I highly recommend them for those of you in the area.

They just brought back my Vibe, saying the light switch was one of the defective ones and that I'll be called when the replacement gets in. Ok, so they'll install a new switch. We all suspect this is not the cause of the problem and I'll continue to wait until the TSB for a new battery shows up. Either that, I'll buy a larger battery myself. A waiting game right now, eh?(Looking at this thread makes me think I'm talking to myself!)

If GM tells Nick before 12/25, I'll believe them.I've never known his sources to let us down, I'm sure they won't start now. After all, 12/25 is only 2 weeks away! Worse comes to worse, get a new battery then.

At least you have that issue repaired in case of any future difficulties if not replaced.A waiting game, yes, that's correct. If you can hang in there, you'll be taken care of... you've gone this long, what's a couple weeks if that? I sure hope the new battery TSB is coming up soon. It's been very cold here lately, down to -35c overnight and my battery struggles a little bit in the morning even when it's pluged in.And when I am leaving work, it's even worse b/c my Vibe isn't not pluged in.
