I left the e-brake on today and drove for about 4~5km before realizing it.What have I done ? *banging my head*

No worse for wear that I can tell (although I did smell a smokey smell which is what clued me in).

All depends on how much it was engaged. A notch or two shouldn't be much of a problem. I did that once. Just make sure to have the dealer check it out next time you're in, make sure you didn't damage it. If it had been fully engaged, I doubt you would've been able to move the car.

My son did the same thing and the rear drums got so hot that the paint pealed off. It did not damage the brakes or drums!

sigh...so what should I ask the dealer to check ? This is my first car with a e-brake handle and I don't even use it that much, I merely lifted it because I had to get some coin from underneath it.

Just tell them you accidentally drove with the parking brake engaged (I did it when I first got the car too), and you just want them to check things out, make sure no damage was done.

i pulled out of a parking space with my ebrake on it was at night and i couldnt figure out why my lights wernt coming on. they wount come on if the ebrake is engaged

Your car should be just fine. 4-5 KM isn't that far. If you just lifted it up a little to get something from underneath it, the brake was hardly engaged. Even if you had a burning smell all you did was put a little extra wear on the rear brakes. I wouldn't even worry about it.

i pull mine all the time to lock up the tires and do 180's. Once i even got a 360 after popping the clutch. I havn't noticed any problems yet...

I do stuff like this, but I drive forward, turn the wheel, pull the break, it kinda sends the car spinning out of control. It's fun in a huge, empty, snow-covered parking lot.

LOL, I've done this too. In my Geo Tracker I used to engage the 4WD, get the car into a 360, and pop the clutch in first with the wheel turned hard and it would make the car spin faster! Wheeeee! Until you get too dizzy. It's tougher to do on dry pavement, you have to be going much faster to lock up the rear wheels with the e-brake. I've done this before, too, but I wouldn't make a habit of it.
