Does Vibe come with an ashtray?When I test drove a different Vibe, I remember seeing one. However, when I took the delivery of a new Vibe, it did not have the ashtray cup. The dealer was saying that it is an option, but the manual seems to say it comes with the car.I don't smoke, but I thought it would make a nice trash bin.Did you get one with your Vibe?

you have suffered the fate of many of us: your dealer is a dumbass! i am pretty sure they all came w/an ashtray. what kind of option is a cupholder ashtray? how could they charge you for such a trivial thing?

I guess some of the other Pontiacs have "smoker's package" option, so I am told.

it comes with the vibe, free of charge. tell your dealer to get you one

Mine came with one.But I took a look on the GM Canada web site and built my own Vibe, and the ashtray is an option for 2004. $25 for both, ashtray and lighter.

2003 and 2004 Vibes in the US come with the Smoker's Package, includes ashtray (the removable cup w/ lid) and lighter, which is standard (included/free) on all models.

Mine had one. It's a 2004 and I took delivery on Saturday. It was even mentioned on the sticker, but there was no charge.

It is an option, but it is free.

I have it on my Vibe too, not that I smoke at all.I used to use the ashtray as a coin cup until it bit my finger...

I use mine as the drive-through money stash place...now that I have de-greased the hinge and keep from getting black stuff all over my fingers.

After a couple of failed attempts to get the ashtray from the fleet manager I bought the Vibe from (she didn't return couple of my calls), I called Pontiac and opened the case. Sales manager of the dealer called me and I did get the ashtray. However, I did not get the lighter. Oh well, I only wanted ashtray as a trash bin since I don't smoke. Thanks guys for quick answers to my post.

No I didn't get mine. 2004 base I see from here http://www.pontiac.com/vibe/specs_interior.jsp That it should have come with the Smoker's Package, includes ashtray and lighter. I see too that they owe me some other things. I have printed this out to take to the dealer. Need to get what one pays for.

(removed). You make it sound like a small furry woodland critter. I haven't been visiously attacked yet though I store my coins in ther too, a few extra bucks for gas incase I get stranded. Mine came with the ashtry free of charge Doesn't it seem like the dashboard would look funny with an empty hole where the lighter is suposed to go??? If they don't give you the lighter, they should atleast give you a cover to put in the hole so it looks better and smeone doesn't jam their finger into it.
