My wife said go and get it, so I did. Handspring Treo 600. It's a PDA / cellular all in one. 144 MHz ARM powered Palm OS 5 organizer, a GSM/GPRS or CDMA module, a fully integrated QWERTY keyboard, a five-way navigation pad, a 160x160 bright color screen, a VGA (640x480) camera, 32 MB Ram, and a SD/MMC slot. The only thing I have to wait for is the leather case and Bluetooth SD card. Anyone else receive early x-mas gifts yet?

Wow! Very nice. How do you like it so far? I wish Verizon would contract a decent convergence device. I'm not a big fan of the Kyocera or the Samsung that they have. I got two early presents. A new phone (LG VX6000) and a new laptop. Sounds like a nice TV there Scherry. I bought a 27" flat screen a couple years ago, and I don't think I could ever go back to the round tubes.

It's taken sometime to get use to after having a regular cell phone for the last 4 years and this time I had to read the manual. I bought a 256MB SD card and loaded it up with MP3's. The wireless internet is nice and also receives my pop3 email. You can view regular internet sites and also run the big three (Yahoo, MSN, AIM) messengers. Just waiting for upcoming Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cards. Quote, originally posted by meathead333 »cool, how much?$399 after $50 Bestbuy and $150 Sprint rebates.

Cool. I'll bet that is nice to have everything in one. Although, I can't really complain about my Pocket PC and my cell phone. I've had a little fun with my new phone and mobile web. It's pretty handy just on a phone, but I'm sure the Treo takes it to another level. The e-mail with the keyboard has to be handy too. How would you say it compares to a Blackberry (if you've ever used one)? Anyway, congrats again on the purchase.

I really like that device. I know that Cingular (my current carrier) just announced that they are going to support the Treo 600, so I have to start saving up.Be sure to give us periodic updates about how you like it & things you dislike. It is a lot of money, but it is also alot of phone!

It was handy the last time I was on a business trip to the west of the state and drove by a forest fire in the mountains. I was able to grap a couple of quick shots of it on the way by. I'm actually pretty impressed with the quality of the images too.

My old PC is on its last legs and I need a PC compatible machine for work projects. That and my Macs are still fairly new, so I'll probably rotate them out with new stock in a couple more years.

Wow, that's funny how we both took photos of a fire. I've heard some pretty interesting things people have caught with these camera phones. Hit-and-run drivers, all sorts of things.

I still prefer the Apple design, though. Some of the new Dells are alright, but they still look like a PC laptop. Macs seem to be a whole different breed of machinery. I get lots of compliments on the looks of my iBook...it's always a conversation-piece, especially here in this PC-centric area where we can't even buy a Mac within 3 hours of here.

No, it came with a CD with PC software. I just didn't have to install anything at all on my machine because it was native to the Mac. Mike has the same camera, I'm pretty sure.

Mike as in ragingfish...I could be wrong. I thought we had the same one though. But the FinePix 2650 IS PC compatible.

Haha! It's here! Here's a photo of my new family member. Unfortunately, the photo does not do this beast justice. I've never seen a laptop so physically huge! Of course I didn't intend it to be carried much, it's mainly to be used as a replacement for my desktop and to be a more portable desktop for doing schoolwork while I'm on business trips. I think it should suffice. The widescreen display is cool. I'd like the resolution to go a bit higher, but it's fine for the work I need it to do. I can always connect my external LCD when I'm at home if I need more. I do need to call Gateway tomorrow since I ordered the memory card reader in place of the floppy drive, and receivedthe machine with a floppy drive. No biggy, I'm sure they'll correct it.

Last week I bought a used laptop from silverawd26. It's a Sony Vaio PIII 500 MHz, 192 MB memory, docking station. I bought a Linksys Wireless-G notebook adapter and now I can't get it away from my wife hands. LOL, she sits in the lazyboy and plays games at pogo.com. Thanks Rob for the great deal on the laptop package, my wife is happy again.BTW, anyone have a good used iBook they would like to sell?

Hey Rasermon,So, do you still like your Treo 600? I'm about to take the plunge. Not sure if I am going to go new ($450 with 2 year agreement) or used on ebay ($400-$500 with no agreeement).Have you used it to listen to MP3/WMA files?
