i about had a very close call today. the vibe could have been hurt bad and the wife could have been strangled(by me ). i let her drive, she isnt the greatest.....she was parking, so she took the turn wide, as usual. so i was like "stop, or youll hit the car!" so i thought she was goin to stop, but, her foot supposedly slipped off the brake and she gunned it into the bumper of a mini van. AHHHHHH! luckily the van was old, so no big damage. only a scuff and a few scratches on the vibe. i was sure she dented both vehicles. we all were lucky. she hit it hard. she asked if i was mad, i said no, but actually i was pissed, lol. i could tell she felt really bad, she knows my vibe is my GF on the side. oh well sh*t happens. at least we didnt die.

Glad it was minor. You married men shouldn't let the wives drive the vibe. That's two in the last month.Stepping on the wrong pedal is something that usually gets attributed to really old people. You posted a picture of the two of you, so I know that can't be her excuse.Did she hit lift into the minivan?

i rarely give people the privilage of driving the ultimate machine! i did this weekend, however. the term drunkenvibe became a grim reality and i did the right thing!as for the wife, each scuff that is on the vibe, she receieves a thrashing! use a telephone cord, rubber hose, or, if you can find one, a cane!

My gf used to drive my Vibe, until I bough her her own car.Very good investment!!! The best I've never done. And it will help to keep my Vibe much (very much) longer and cleaner. My gf drive very badly (hard on the brake, hard on hte gaz, hard on hte clutch) and she has the very bad habbit to leave her garbage in the at the passanger feet... Her car interior look like a real dump. By chance this is her car, no longer mine.

Yeah I agree with you. The only people I've let drive mine are my grandpa and my good friend with the EVO VIII (because he lets me drive his EVO) I don't even let my mom drive it and she bought it. She is EXTREMELY ruff with cars since she is on the road 24/7 for work, she doesn't have any patience and speeds around all over the place.

My parents wanted to take my car to Ohio for Thanksgiving while I was in NYC, and I wouldn't let them, because I don't like the way my dad drives on the interstate. He makes me nervous, and I'd be even MORE nervous if I knew he was driving my baby like that! I'll let mom drive it, but only if I'm with her. Dad has driven it exactly twice -- home from the dealership, and bringing it to me after some repairs.

Not that he was grinding gears he's not a smooth shifter and he kept skipping gears.. he would go from 2nd to 4th car would bog.. i was like (removed). But anyway i made it home safe slept for 4 hours went to work for 11

meathead, Glad to hear the damage was minor and that nobody was injured. It sucks to have any type of damage done to your Vibe but it could have been a lot worse. Hopefully this will be the first and last time you have to deal with damage to your ride.
