Would love to see an Alberta forum.

Hey there noticed that BC has its own, so does Ontario and Quebec, what about Alberta? Would love to start something in this province, what do you think? Maybe have our own meet?

I wonder how many other SK people there are here besides pmh013 and myself.Maybe we'd be enough to warrant a section of our own ?

Would be great to see all those forums, would love to have a great big western Canada meet in some centrally located area, but for know will settle for a little more interest from the Alberta crowd, I've seen one other person from Calgary here, wonder if there is anymore?

According to a search of the member list, there are 5 who list being from Saskatchewan: Clashfan, Neal B, ngilbert, myself, and Project Shadow. So, if you add huy too, there are 6 of us in SK.

You haven't been forgotten, just the lack of members in that area wouldn't necessarily warrant a sole forum. You'll have to forgive me with Canadian geography, so could someone verse me on the location (west, central, east, etc) statistics on these proposed locations (I looked at a map, didn't have too much luck - sleepy )? Give me some ideas on grouping them together and their relation to any existing forum we already have.Could probably work something out to group them into one forum until the membership in those areas grows.

Ontario is is considered east Canada a long ways away from Alberta...BC is on the coast of the west, Sask is considered part of the west almost smack dab in the middle, Manitoba is part of the west however it borders Ontario...Quebec is part of the East way east, and then there are the Atlantic provinces which are Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia (I think), The west is usually considered to be everything west of Ontario, East is usually Ontario and Quebec, and then there are the Atlantic Provinces and the territories which are way up north. Hope this helps mind you this is from a Albertans point of view.

I'd agree with Celtic's interpretation of what is west and what is east. However, a "western Canada" forum does cover a MASSIVE amount of area ... basically a rectangle extending from Washington to Kansas (give or take). I have no problem with being lumped in with North Dakota, Minnesota, etc... except I live only a couple hours from the US/Canada border. Some members (huy for sure) are about a 6 hour drive to the border, so I don't think they'd be as excited about being lumped in with the States.I guess you could leave BC by itself (that always seems to be the way it is), put together the 3 prairie provinces (Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba) and then keep the stuff you have set up for Ontario & Quebec. As far as the Atlantic/Maritime provinces ... I don't know. I really don't have a handle on how many members there are out there.
