so i rear ended a guy in traffic today. good news is i am ok bad news is my vibe isnt so good. air bags didnt go off but those crumple zones sure crumple. front right qp is trashed as is hood and bumper and air dam and radiator. oh well we shall see what the dealership sez tomorrow

that sucks. hope you have good insurance! any damage to his vehicle?

yeah full coverage 500 deductable, his car had some damage prolly need new bumper and new headlight some work on front right qp i pushed him into a guardrail

i'm at school so i can survive without it cause you can walk most everywhere. i'll just have to get a ride to the shop to pick it upI also like when i called gm roadside and she was like what color is your car and i said shadow and she says what? and i said dark grey will do

LOL @ paint color explanation. I've been up to Penn State a few times before. Had my pic taken with the big Nittany Lion. I had an ice hockey tournament there every year in high school on the first weekend in March. I had my one and only hat trick there in the Ice Pavillion. Strange place to play, but the ice was great! And I loved the creamery.

got the insurance co estimate looks like 5500 dollars. what do you guys think? that sound about right for a new hood grill, air dam , front quarter panel, radiator

so my car was supposed to be done the 30th of dec but i get a call that they just realized the main wiring harness is screwed up and the alternator is too so it will be another few weeks. grrrr i miss my vibe

Damn thats sad man. But $5500 sounds about right for that kind of repair. But another few weeks for a wire harness and alternator? Where are those parts coming from? Positive side of things... you get fresh paint on that hood that some have been complaining of chipping. Perhaps the new paint will be on there better then the old.
