USA Thanksgiving Holiday

From wednesday thru Sunday this week supposed to be the heaviest traffic on the roads, more than any other time of the year. Already had a rash of injured vibes this month, so if you're out and about, over the river and through the woods, whatever, be prepared for heavy traffic, irate, impatient drivers, back ups, traffic jams, all that stuff. Keep your cool, drive defensively, keep yourself and your vibe safe this holiday.

We used to do the traveling thing, up I-65 to northwest Indiana, but now I'll be cooking the family Thanksgiving turkey dinner for the ten or so in-laws (& out-laws!) at my Mother-in-law's home here in Lebanon. I've done it for about 18 years now and truly still enjoy it.

I've gotta figure out what I'm going to eat for the holiday... Probably will go down and visit with the folks, only problem is the last time I ate meat was actually, well, last Thanksgiving! Unless I'm bringing some synthetic turkey to cook, I'm stuck eating vegetables, rolls, and a can or two of cranberry sauce. lolAnyway everyone have a good time, enjoy it!... And for those of you working, I've been there, I used to have to work all of the holidays where the masses were off. Keep the faith, someone's gotta keep things running!

(a year later) Wonder what that was? Anyway, will be celebrating my first US thanksgiving tomorrow. Got the day off work to, can't complain there lol. Definatly going to be taking it easy on the roads. We got like a good half a foot or more of light snow on top of the hard ice and snow that fell earlier. Its slippery out thats for sure.

::sigh::I'll be working this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5pm-5am.I will however go after-Thanksgiving shopping when I get off Friday morning! The military does have its disadvantages. I will be partaking in the Thanksgiving feast held onboard. Hey at least I get to save $$$ by not having to prepare a feast this year!Take care out there on the roads and be safe! Don't overspend this weekend either!
