First time poster...so don't shoot...but I saw mentioned in another post a rear bumper cover for the Vibes. Does anyone have any links or pics of one? I'm thinking of getting one to protect the rear bumper on my wife's Vibe. Thanks

This is the best I can do for you seeing how it's dark outside...I can get better shots tomorrow, but it'll give you a good idea of what you'd get:

Unfortunately, my host is down, so the pics won't show up until it's fixed.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Also, thanks for the pics and links...I looked at them, but I am kind of disappoined that it doesn't cover more. For $42 I was hoping it would cover the whole area where you would nick it up. We have 2 black labs that would tear the hell out of that back area when getting in and out of the car. Guess that little cover is better than nothing, though...I'll be around for a while...we've just started paying on this thing and I plan on keeping it for at least 6 years...

I think I'd rather just leave it alone as Rhino-line it...if I'm gonna spend money on Rhino lining...I'm going to do my truck! My wife didn't like the looks of the rear cover either...so that pretty much settled it. No pics of dogs in car...as we have been trying to keep them out of it for as long as possible...labs produce too much hair!

Hi...I bought the Bumper Protector when I got the Block Heater. I knew it was narrow but didn't realize it was that small. Instead of placing it where it said (I believe it was supposed to be 1" from the edge) I placed it closer to the edge of the bumper (Maybe 1/2" or so). I think here it will hopefully help the edge a bit more if I pull something longer outta the back. Still isn't going to help much for luggage wheels though... At least whatever might get scratched up won't be as noticable.Dave

I have one and wish it covered the entire depth of the lip on the bumper. I just bought a TV stand the other day, and the guy who put it into my Vibe, leaned the large, heavy box on the bumper and slid it in. He ended up also scrapping some paint right off the bumper's edge. Oh well, I already had the scrape from the lady that rear ended me. Later,

Well in this "I wish the bumper protector was bigger" line of thought -- has anyone made one?In another thread (too lazy to look it up) someone figured out you could get some relatively cheap rubber carpeting from Home Depot and cut out you own cargo mat. Has anyone found something that would work as a bumper protector? And what would you use as adhesive?

I also have a great big lab that sits in the back of the vibe alot. I went to the local carpet store and got about 4 feet of an end roll that closely matches the carpet already in the back of the vibe. Took it all to the local auto trim shop, and had them sew it together so the backing of the carpet is together and then sew it to the mat in the back of the car. Now when I need to I have a piece of dark carpet that covers the entire back bumper with the soft side of the carpet. Great for loading things and now the dogs nails are not digging into the bumper when he gets in or out. Total cost approx $25 Canadaian

If you guys need that covered. For really cheap to. Go talk to a vinyl graffix cutter and have them make you up a peice of sticker that will cover that area. vinyl isn't permanent so you can remove it when trading in or what ever. They could make one that even matchs your car. Vinyl is also pretty durable. I think it would be durable enough for dog nails.
