just thought id share my progress.pics of my engine with newly installed strut bar and DIY ground wires.

Lookin' good, meathead! :DI think I will order my billet grill soon, it's just calling out to me :DAnd I must ask, what kind of paint did you use?

rustoleum metalic blue. i put like 10 coats on the engine cover. so far it hasnt peeled off, but it it a bit scratched. i like the engine so far. i also put some blue wire loom around some hoses for extra color.

That intake I sold you looks really damn good in that engine bay. I just feel bad for how long it took to get to you!!!

Hey Meat how did you find the fit of the grille covers, I have them too, and found that I had to play around with them to get it centred. Plus with the hood deflector up front it makes it hard to close the hood, di you have any issues with it?

i attached it loose withe the zip ties, then centered it. then i tightened them like you would a wheel till it was tight and centered.

Where'd you get yours at? i went all over myself....lowes, home depot, napa and finally i found some at schucks. its a chain auto parts store if you havent heard of it. they had red, blue and black. was 4.99 for 10 feet.

Thanks. Been keeping my eyes open a long time and haven't found any color other than black. Guess I should have been looking in auto stores instead. Home Depot, Lowes, Autozone, and Perkins don't have it. I'll have to search the net. Mabey I can find some that way. Also, did you primer and clearcoat the cover? Or just a good number of paint coats did the trick?

no primer or clear coats...just lost of paint. i pretty much used a whole can on it. spray-dry-spray-dry and so on, all day long.

Lots of coats...I got ya. Found a place with lots of wire loom too. They even have chrome loom. http://cableorganizer.com/wire-loom/colored.html

WHOA.....chrome.....mmmmm.....i am all about the chrome, i may have to get some of that
