Can someone tell me if my filler neck is missing the little round metal tab? You know when you remove your screw on gas cap and insert the pump nozzle into the filler neck there is usually a little round metal spring loaded flap that the nozzle pushes out of the way when insert? I have no flap on my Vibe....am I missing something?

I was wondering the same thing, mine has no flap either.

I'll take a look after work. I think I remember seeing one there...but now...i'm not so sure..

I don't know what's wrong with your Vibes, but I just checked and mine has the little metal flap.just kidding, of course it doesn't There is a check valve in the fuel filler neck, it is one of the possible things not working right if you have trouble putting gas in the tank and the pump keeps shutting off (http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=5204) Maybe since there is a check valve lower down, there is no need for the little metal flap at the top.

Joat,That would explain the ommission of the fuel filler flap. I have to say I was worried for a second thinking this Toyota/GM partnership isnt working out I have very high expectations of this Vibe.

Good observation. I was a little concerned at first too. We don't need no stinking flap.
