Just got my Vibe this past weekend, Neptune; moon & tunes; Power; 16" AL wheelsWe purchased an extended warranty coverage for $1,500.00The question is should I keep this contract (I can still cancel it), or cancel it look for an aftermarket contract at a lower price. We have a 60 month loan and will put about 20,000 miles on each year

It all depends on the amount of driving that you do. I have a lease with option to buy(so far I'm buying). I purchased additional miles and an extended warranty directly from GMAC. I have 75,000 miles/bumper to bumper instead of 30,000 for 3 years. I do a lot of driving especially in the summer months.This will come in handy in 2005

As to extended warranties through GM dealerships, read the contract to see what is covered and what type of deductibles there are. If you are going to get an extended warranty most people agree only buy a warranty through GM, get their extended warranty. Dealerships try to sell there own warranties (not a gm warranty) and the coverage on these warranties are lacking, plus if issues do arise, GM is better to deal with when solving them.
