HAHA, heres the plan...found a $900 Subaru Legacy wagon, awd, minimal rust, runs good...I was thinking of setting a-side a few bucks here and there to buy it or something similar. The reason behind this, is a long-time dream of mine...plan to reinforce it with a sturdy rollcage all the way around. Buy a few seats with 5-pt harnesses, and tear it up. Like driving down the street, see a 10ft ditch, try to roll it into the ditch then get out and keep driving...of course do this without other cars around, perhaps completely snap the axel and go full speed into a parking block...just random fun things all of us would love to do. A good grand finalle would be driving down the express way and smash into the media and try to flip the carOne more thing, I could build a wooden body kit, attach remote blades to it...pull up next to this stupid 16yr old stuck up *****'s escalade that goes to my school with the gay-(removed) 23" rims, and slash those *******s That would be a good snickers crunch comercial "looking for a satisfying crunch?" (removed) Im sure thats one crunch all of us would enjoy!!!

rofl.roll cages dont save you from everything man...flying glass, and broken metal will kill you fast.

i wouldn't recommend that, merzbow. that'd be some hefty fines and juvy jail time if you get cot. had a friend of mine our sr yr in hs, stole a fork lift and destroyed the new jr high they were building. caused over $100K in damages, just by knocking things over and running the fork lift into ditches and such. he spent 18 mos in jail and 3 yrs probation. plus it went on his record and he had to list that he was a convicted criminal on all his applications. he is now 25, as i am, and works detailing cars at a car lot. too bad, because he was really a good kid until he started hanging out with the wrong guys. save all teh crazy stuff for the pros. not worth injuring yourself or others. we wouldn't want to see you get hurt trying to mimic some "*******" stunt.... try getting into 4x4ing or rock crawling. that's a ton of fun and you can run over things. even have competitions and such. be good!

HAHAHAHA ME JELOUS OF AN ESCALADE??? If I had the choice of taking an Escalade in perfect condition or a 1987 Buick Century, without being able to sell either of them...I would take the century, without even thinking.....The thing is, this kid cruises around in his escalade like hes hot ****, and ever since rappers started dragging caddy's into their lifestyle I refuse to ever buy one, and I absolutely hate them except for the new XLR...thats the CTS convert. correct? Anyways...I have a really really really big problem with giant chromes...I dunno why it just angers me....I respect cars too much.Also, Yeah I know I would get hurt I didnt say it was for sure but it is my fantasy to do all thatI found a picture of a wooden body kit I could try and build that I think would be hilaious to cruise around in

If your going to spend the money for the roll cage you might as well spend a little more and take up off road rallying. There are 5 races a year here in Michigan and plenty of others in the neighboring states. If your going to dream, dream big. OK, well I wasn't quite sure I think the fronts look similar never the less the XLR is the only cadilac I would ever even remotely cinsider buying But for that much money I would rather have a 3000GT.

a $900 scooby wagon, a 300-600 dollar roll cage and a 100 or so for a body harness....so you want to spend up to about $1600 only to total the car and then have to pay to get it extracted from whatever ditch you stuck it in??At this point the car will now be worth about $50 or $0 if you want the junkyard to come and pick it up for you. My guess is the chump w/ the escalade spends his money (or his parents money) more wisely than that even if it is on chrome wheels.On a personal note....i sure wish i had $1600 to throw out the window Well all i can say is be sure to get plenty of pics of all your destruction....otherwise, with nothing to show for $1600 you might look a little kookey to some.

those are the kids that will live with mom and dad in the basement forever, getting high all day and delivering pizzas at the age of 45. parents these days need to quit thinking that giving their child money and posessions makes up for actually raising their kids and participating in their lives. all of the kids that were spoiled when i was in highschool made fun of me for toking up and all that. now, they sit around all day getting high, have shag hair, barely bathe, etc., and are going nowhere because mom and dad keep shelling out the bucks.

And the whole time mom and dad are going, "But we just want to give little Johnny everything we could never have." They don't realize the damage they're doing until it's too late. I'd hate to be paying a 16-year-old's insurance on that H2, with that big powerful engine.

It wouldnt be thrown away...If you noticed I said set aside a few dollars here and there out of my pay checks its like buying candy....candy isnt ever lasting but We still like it...this car wont be ever lasting but i wouldd enjoy it

Yeah, I wish I could have bought my own car. She allways threatens me with it...she knows how much I like cars, so I'm wondering if she is using the car as a tool to control me? Anyways, I had all intensions of buying my own car I already had $2000 towards a $3000 '88 Monte Carlo SS that I've been saving my whole life. but one day she came home with the Vibe and surprised me. And now I've become attatched to it But I'm am using the 2 grand I have and what ever I get from graduation to buy a crotch rocket that will be my own.

I doubt she bought the car as a control mechanism...I'd say she just wanted to do something nice for you. Be happy, you're lucky.

i don't think i would trust an 88 monte ss that only costs $3000. i wanted one of those when i was your age and they had 2 at a local car dealer (might have been 87's i dont recall). they wanted over 7000 for one! one of them had the rare back windshield that was shaped funny

maybe thats why they cost so much? Looking around my neighbor hood and on autotrader, most cost $3000. The one I had in mind was an 88 SS chevy 350, brand new trans, only had 70,000 miles and no rust...Besides the fact this car would be a hobby as well...I would be able to work on it and stuff.

I work at an assembly plant in Ontario that has a GM storage/rail/shipping yard attached to it. All makes and models are stored/shipped to and from this lot for the southern Ontario market. Last week, some criminal minded individual took it upon themself to remove an $85,000 Escalade from the lot. Just snipped a whole through the fence and drove it out. Never seen again.

As insane as your dream sounds, I can see where it would be kind of fun. What I would do is instead of spending the time to build a roll cage and then be inside it when it wrecks, I'd make it a remote control car. That way you could watch it wreck from a safe distance.
