ok so i finally got around to take some pics of my newest mods and thought id share, you can also see these and other pics at my Car Domain link and MSN Group Vibe Meat link.the first is my new grill: These are some pics of my AEM Short Ram and newly painted engine: the next are of my new carbon fiber wipers: this is off the carbon fiber rear door triangle i added along with my AEM sticker that cam with my short ram: finally, this is of my new antenna: hope you like them, i do!

The grill - looks good with your color Vibe, I still need to see that in person to get the full effect, but looks good in the pics.The Sirius antenna - how does the thick part of the wire coming from the antenna work out for you there? Does it rub anywhere when you open/close the hatch and hatch glass? I was thinking about relocating mine where your's is as well. Here is where I have mine for now:The first antenna I had in a similar position as your's, the wire was stripped out from the opening/closing of the hatch.

I was thinking about relocating mine where your's is as well. i know what your asking, but i dont know how to answer you. it may have been the way the shop installed mine. but i did go back and mess around with the placement and how and where the wire lays. in the inside of the door near the top i really fumbled around to get it just right, took me a while to figure it out, considering how the door pulls the wire out lots while in the open position.

meat, does that antenna give better or less reception to the factory? i saw that on ebay and was considering buying it.

less....but it sure looks cool, lol. i have my sat radio and listen to cd's more than the radio.

unfortunatly, we don't get xm radio here. still behind in the times on that level... but i like the antenna. avant garde.. looks good!

CAr looks really great!! I got the grill too, looks really sharp like he way it reflects light, with your color scheme should look hot!! Love the engine bay, great job on the mods.

my xm attena is mounted directly behind the factory one i lifted the hacth gate(not window)slit the weather stripping(not all the way through)placed the wire in the slit resealed it with black silicone and then ran the wire next to the washer fluid line in the headliner dowm the side etc

Hey Meat!It might sound like a stupid question but what kind of paint did you use for the engine cover? And where did you purchase it? Thanks again!

everyone has got theirs from ebay, they attach nicely with zip ties. i paid $85 which included s/h.

YAY! Search feature is back!Been looking for this thread for a while now. I'm still trying to decide how I feel about the Billet Grill on the Shadow Vibe.It certainly is nice, and it is growing on me. I wonder how it would look if it were powercoated black .. ... ..Must think about this more, yes. heehee

I even went ahead and Photoshopped your grill onto my car :DHmm, I might have to do with this. Any other opinions?
