I dunno about you, but i love catchin people lookin at my car tryin to figure out what it is.I already took all the badges off but the thing that gets me is where it says "Pontiac" over the license plate.I was thinkin about installing like a light bar over it or something but that'll probably look cheezy. Sanding it off is also a possibility but i dont wanna have to repaint it.Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to cover it up or get rid of it? Please post.

Bondo wouldn't work...but there is a plastic adhesive specially made for that type of application....its expensive!!!why'd you have to paint your doors and hood already????

Umm well my left passenger door got hit by another car as my ****tard friend decided to get out without looking. it got nice and crunched, and then i got a nice "**** You" (excuse the language) carved into my hood.... but wait theres more..... someone decided i need some nice "racing stripes" so he keyed them in for me. (9 panels got messed up)I painted the deep scratches and the others were buffed out, kinda.

To get back to the original question...As you know I haven't been blessed with my car, are we talking about the grab handle on the hatch? Looks like plastic in the pictures? When I de-badged the back of my Canadian Honda Civic EXV sedan I took off the Civic and left the Honda and EXV labels. My neighbour (bless his 85 yr old soul) thought it was a Prelude when I moved in. No shame in driving a Pontiac I think, my friends and relatives have had great luck and satisfaction with Formula's, Grand Prix's, Montana's...All great machines to be distantly related to. Besides, if they can't figure out that it is a Pontiac from looking at the back, they could definitely see the resemblance to the above by scanning the grill.

loc,why don't you buy some vinyl that matches your car color and affix it over the entire area. its pretty flat and smooth, if you have to fill the letters in with some sort of filling compound and then put the vinyl over it and it will all look good, assuming you take your time....i think it would look good. if you absolutely don't want the pontiac that seems to be the easiest. you'd be sanding for forever and a day to get that out and then the plastice would look like sh!t......

yea, i think covering it with vinyl sounds good, cause if i just filled it in and then painted it... i think the filler might fall out of something when i slam the trunk.Hmm maybe i can get some reflective vinyl like the one used in the badge overlays from GrafxWerks...Is it legal to have reflective tape that high? Hey, at least i can get bac at those damn huge suv's that drive behind you with blinding headlights...

there ya go!!! i'm sure ryan would be willing to sell ya some vinyl.... as long as you have red or white in the back its okay for lights/reflective....and the reflective vinyl shows white.....so it is completely legal!!!!
