Billet Grille: update

In an earlier thread aroun 9-17-03 I think, there was a post about billet grilles. The consensus was that the billet material (ribs of T6 aluminum) should run perfectly horizontal instead of perpendicular to the lines separating the two "nostrils" creating that look like those flight wings you got as a kid from the stewardess. I talked to the manufacturer today and gave him my input and some of the input from previous threads on this forum and he said he would put it over to his engineer and they will take a look at it after the SEMA show, so, stay tuned... heres a link to the current design. It looks great on my 04 with satellite paint and hyper silver wheels, but, i dont like it on that orange car (although I like the orange, and it could be painted), and it would probably look better with the billet all horizontal.

The quality is good and the install is a snap. I get alot of compliments on mine, but, again, I think they work well on my car because its silver. The billet material is actually attached to a black "framework" like skin behind it. You just zip-tie the grille to the OE grille and the black zip-ties disappear below the billet and blend in with the balck sub-structure.

got the grill on finally. doesn't look bad actually. you can still see the factory grill on the outsides, but not too noticeable. remember, i painted my grills red so it doesn't look so dark in the background... i'll post some pics so you can all see them.click this link to view my additions today: grill, vent visors, ugly steel rims w/ snow tires, and red lugs:
