I can finally post some pics (albeit, kinda crappy) of my interior paint job. Yours trully hand-painted the A/C panel (they're not stickers lol).Let me know what you guys think. PS the white around the cig lighter needs a bit of solvent for the overspray, but I've yet to get around to it. Who knows, maybe this weekend after the calendar car-wash shoot

Well, only the A/C icons were hand-painted...everthing else was sprayed. The first pics were taken at night. I'll take better ones soon.

TRDVibe, how did you get your results to be so smooth? Not to knock psycho's job, but its pretty granular in comparison.

Not to knock psycho's job, but its pretty granular in comparison.well, my first job that i did myself looked exactly the same way. kind of grainy and not the nice shiny smooth look. i had a body shop redo my interior. spray cans leave clumps due to the paint coming out in larger masses. with the air tools a professional body shop uses, the paint goies on thinner and covers smoother. he also wet sanded between coats to ensure it was smooth and used an automotive hardener for the clear. then he baked it to get the nice smooth pro look. i really like what psycho did with his dash, very creative. i'm sure his daughter probably enjoyed it too. to do it again, i may think about having the middle section painted as well because it adds a lot of character.

since i had a body shop do the painting the second go around, he used a sealer/primer first. sanded it and got it smooth before the paint went on. it's an automotive semi-metallic paint found on ford explorers. i think it's called garnet mica? not sure. he put about 2 or 3 coats on and then 2 coats of clear. he then baked the parts to give it the nice shiny look.
