You automatically have to pay more for Fusion because it only comes in Monotone which costs more, right?

monotone appearance package is only $300 -500 difference. still looks better IMHO and worth the extra $5 per month.

I agree, except that they don't off it in two-tone in the U.S. so you have to automatically pay the 325 more when you pick that color..

You are correct sir. The 2 tone Fusion is available in Canada, so I cant understand why they don't offer it in the U.S.A. I read in the paper last week that the color silver is cheaper, by far, than all the rest of the colors. That's why you see so many silver cars.

That's funny and possibly true, but most silver cars are out there because consumers demand it. It's a 'high tech' and easy to keep clean color I guess.

quote:You automatically have to pay more for Fusion because it only comes in Monotone which costs more, right?Well, yes and no. Because Fusion only comes in monotone (in the US) you must pay for the monotone package if you want that color. However, it's no more expensive than any other color when monotone is ordered. What you could do is barter with your dealer and say you want that color but don't want to pay the cost of the monotone package. See if he'll take that much off the price. It can't hurt to ask. All he can do is say no and you tell him you'll go to another dealer who will. When I was looking for my Vibe, I wanted the base with an automatic, the power package and the 6-disc in-dash CD. My dealer checked the inventory of all dealers in a 200-mile radius and the only one they could find at the time has the side air bags which I didn't want. My dealer said if they would give me the car minus the price of the air bags. As it turns out, that car got sold at the other dealership before I could finalize the deal but they were willing. They finally got my car minus the 6-disc in-dash player but they agreed to install the 6-disc at their cost. They installed it about a week after I took the car home.

I'd pay more if it was fusion powered.

What the dealer was thinking (Yes - I've built enough profit into this deal to throw in the monotone package for "free").

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you want side air bags, Nova?

It wasn't worth the $700 to me.

Im scared to get Fusion, because Im moving into an apartment next month or the one after. I am getting an alarm, but it seems like a thief magnet in that color, just asking to get broken into.

Yes,Fusion or Sunburst (in Canada) does draw a lot of attention but so far the attention I have gotten to my two-tone has been positive. The "Wow nice colour" votes outway the "That's gross" votes by at least 10 to 1.
