Hi,

I hope this the the appropriate thread for this. I think I posted this in the wrong thread earlier.

I have an '07 Vibe.

The heat shield between my exhaust and gas tank has somewhat deteriorated where it attached.

It looks like I need a new heat shield.

Problem is, my mechanic can't seem to find one.

The toyota dealership in my town has them for the Matrix, but there's 2 models; one is not available though as it was discontinued and he doesnt know if the one he can get will fit on my Vibe.

Does anyone know which model of heat shield for an '07 Matrix will fit an '07 Vibe?

Or, does someone know where else I can get the heat shield?

I'm in Oshawa ON, Canada.

If you got a core Vibe with the 1.8l and 4 speed, the Matrix equivalent trim is the STD auto. I think those were more common than the XR trims (auto and manual), so hopefully that's not discontinued. It should be an exact match, unless someone wants to correct me (I've got the 09 model and had good luck with Matrix parts)

Check Rock Auto as well.

What do you mean by core Vibe?

Do you mean the base model? Then yes it is.
