hey yall i have a 04 vibe GT with the rear disc brakes and drum parking brake. my front hub is going bad so i figured i might as well replace all four since they are all getting old. for the front i ordered the entire front knuckle that comes with a new backing plate and all that jazz. i cannot find an equivalent for the rear.. the parking brakes mount to the backing plate and they are getting really bad (rusted all the way through) so i desperately need new backing plates for the rear even if i dont replace the rear hubs. i was wondering maybe i cant find it because im searching for the wrong part? or are they just hard to come by/expensive.
thanks

I don't have a GT, but it should be the same as a Matrix XRS.
Looks like the part number is 46504-20070 for a Matris w/xrs left rear.
Here is one source:

I'll let you search all over for the right side part number and the best price, as the price will vary alot between dealers.
You can compare the web page photo with what you have.
Keep us updated on your progress.

i might just throw some paint on the old backing plates...

looks like
right side is 46503-20070
left side is 46504-20070
some ebay sellers in Japan offer both sides for about the same price as US sellers are asking for just one.
don't know how hard it would be to find viable ones at a junkyard

It was non-trivial.
