It would definitely be an interesting job, as I imagine not every repo would be the same. But yea, I'm with you, as you never know what crazy person is just inside seeing you trying to take their car.

That car occupant seemed to have some mental health issues.

He obviously wasted a tire and wheel, but was the car really totalled? Couldn't tell if all that smoke was just from the tire, or if some was from engine failure from prolonged redline.

I felt real bad for the owner. Clearly some mental health issues and he was probably living in the Vibe and possible one level away from homeless. The repo man 'I got the asset' made me lol. That 'asset' is easy 18-20 years old, has no paint on the top probably has 300k miles and it's only value is for scrap metal. I could undesrtand if it were something newer, higher value, in good condition. The loan will be written off anyway' what is the point of taking a vehicle like that?

You'd have to ask the financial institution that put out the order to take it. Repo guy was only doing his job and I'm sure he also feels bad for the guy, but in the end, he's only doing what he's told to do.

Wow, that was exciting and sad. I feel sorry for the driver.
