Performance and Handling:

17-Inch Wheels:

Generally offer a smoother ride due to a larger tire sidewall, absorbing more impact from road imperfections. These wheels can enhance comfort and may be preferred for daily commuting. However, they might slightly compromise on high-performance handling.

18-Inch Wheels:

Strike a balance between ride comfort and improved handling. With a slightly smaller sidewall compared to 18 inch wheels, they maintain good ride quality while providing better responsiveness and grip during maneuvers. This makes them a popular choice for drivers seeking a mix of performance and comfort.

Aesthetic Appeal and Customization:

17-Inch Wheels:

Tend to provide a classic and more conservative appearance. The larger sidewalls can offer a traditional look, and these wheels may be favored by those who prioritize a timeless aesthetic.

18-Inch Wheels:

Often considered a sweet spot for balancing aesthetics and modern design. They provide a sportier look compared to 17-inch wheels, making them a popular choice for those who want a visually appealing upgrade without compromising too much on ride comfort.
Ultimately, the choice between 17-inch, 18-inch, or 19-inch OEM wheels depends on individual preferences, driving style, and the desired balance between performance and aesthetics.

I'd go with 18 inches.

My area has busted streets with holes galore. We had 17 inch alloys on a 2003 Vibe. Busted tires often, plus a harsh ride running over broken streets. Presently our current 2005 Vibe has 16 inch alloys. Much better.

Thanks for sharing, I think I'm going to try a 16 inch instead!

plus the 16 inch may be less expensive than 17 or 18.
