Vehicle Speed Sensor

I hope this topic has not been worn out. But, my 2009 Vibe is showing a vehicle speed sensor problem. It may be a wire short or not. I think this because of an AutoZone tech checked. What is the voltage on the wire that goes to the vehicle speed sensor? If any one has an answer or suggestion I would appreciate it. I'm not a mechanic, I'm retired and really like my Vibe. It is a hand me down from my wife, and has 189,000+ miles. Thanks for any help.
