2009 pontiac vibe 1.8l transmission code

Post by Dreadnaugh »

I'm trying to figure out what transmission my 2009 pontiac vibe 1.8l with 101,000 miles has so I can buy a new automatic transmission filter, I've looked everywhere (owners manual, different parts websites and different Vin decoder websites) but couldn't find any information.
Any help is appreciated.

Count the number of pan bolts in your transmission pan and get the filter that has the pan gasket that has the same number of bolt holes in the gasket. You can also look at the pan gasket shape and match that to your pan to figure out which filter kit you need for your transmission.

If you pull the dip stick for the transmission, it is stamped on the dip stick what fluid to use for the transmission. My 2009 2.4L uses "WS" type transmission fluid. Do not use the fluid listed in the owners manual, as it is printed wrong.
