intercooler without a turbo

does anyone have an intercooler without a turbo...what kinda of gains do u think it would produce...cause if i can recall...the matrix had an xs engineering intercooler b4 the whole turbo kit.
This also is an exact "copy & paste" message from RCASIOLA some 19 years ago!!!
