My wife's 04 is coming apart at 240K Michigan miles, looking for an equivalent replacement in decent running shape. Distance isn't much of a concern, condition is.

Love how yellow the Pontiac logo is :)
Even at that mileage, it would be pretty easy to fix up to be 100%.

Good luck!

The only GTs that I could find currently for sale are the two that have already been posted.

I spent over eight months looking nationwide for a 2003-2006 Vibe GT to replace the one totaled by a guy who ran a redlight.

I think that 2003 had the highest number of 1st gen. Vibe GTs produced with ~6916. There used to be an online chart that showed GT and total Vibe production numbers but I can no longer find it.

From 2003, production numbers for GTs declined to the point that Pontiac discontinued them after 2006 for lack of sales. IIRC, 1st gen. GT production was less than 20,000 total so they were never a common car.

Now that they are at, or are approaching, 20 years old, good condition low mile cars are very rare and will fetch a premium.

The excellent condition, one owner 2003 GT with 77.5k mi. I bought just before covid hit was $5000. The 2003 GT that replaced it this year was $6300 and well worn with many cosmetic, and a few mechanical, issues at 94k mi.

Prices are starting to come back down a bit, but at this point there just aren't that many 1st gen. GTs left in any condition.

Just be patient and keep looking. 1st gen. GTs do occasionally pop up for sale but at a much slower pace than in the past when more of them were still on the road.

There is one needing parts for sale here in Des Moines, Iowa:
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 5921450360
I went and looked at it last week and it is more work than I care to put into it at $2k.
I mainly just wanted the wheels.
It does have the leather interior, but the drivers seat has a blown out seam.
BUT, it is a GT, and you probably have all the spare parts you need on the one you currently own.
Good luck in your search.

Wow, that looks like a super clean example. Really low milage, too.

Hey KJones, I'm currently trying to sell my Vibe GT. I made a separate posting on this board:
viewtopic.php?p=536688#p536688

And here is the Facebook listing:
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... tid=T6ff65

Those two posts have more details. The TLDR is that overall it's in good shape, but needs work on normal wear items. I've got a lot going on right now and this was not a good time to buy a project car.

That's a nice looking one owner GT!
If I was in the market right now I would look into it.

If I had some spare cash I would have already been planning a visit to look it over and pick it up if it was in good shape.

The DBW cars can get a reflashed ECU from Monkeywrench that allows high lift to begin at 5750 RPM and raises the redline to 8400 RPM which should eliminate dropping out of high lift when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear.

I didn't know the reflashed ECU existed when I bought my 2003 GTs which is why I went with the first year model that had the 6200 to 8200 RPM high lift range.

Don't know if you are still looking for a GT, but this popped up on Kansas City Craigslist today for $1200:

https://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/d ... 55994.html

Great price, unknown engine rebuild quality, right rear cladding is gone.
Rare leather interior judging from the door panels and rear seat.
If it is still there this weekend I may drive down and take a look.

If it wouldn't require too much work to get back to normal, then that would be a GREAT price. The fact that he picked it up for only $500 was pretty damm cheap!

I have an 03 GT Manual I’ll likely be parting with soon in Denver. I know it’s not the year you wanted but let me know. Under 100k miles.
