Offroad modifications? Lift, shocks

Hiya!
Looking to upgrade my Awd vibe to handle the rough roads, front end's bottomed out a few times and I need new shocks anyway
Recommendations for shocks other than oem? Saw some rally shocks out there but I'm not keen on dropping $3k til i hear >something about them xD
Also looking to possible lift some? Just a lil, gonna throw some subaru wheels on :V
